How it happens...
40 Years of Something/Anything?

  1. ALERT THE MEDIA. We need to get the word out to reach the thousands of fans who love this album, but perhaps don't even know Todd still tours. If you hear Todd on the radio, call the station and thank the DJ. Talk about the project. I have done this and the DJ turned right around and played the call verbatim on the air.

  2. TELL YOUR FRIENDS about this campaign. It may seem a long way off, but don't wait.
  3. WATCH FOR FACEBOOK BONUSES
During random weeks of the campaign, you can earn bonuses by changing your FaceBook profile to a specified graphic. It might be a prize raffle, or section upgrade - you never know. Just watch for updates on the FaceBook page.
  4. POST NOTICES ON CRAIGSLIST.
It can't be said enough. The more fans who talk about the project individually, the more people will be encouraged to find out more, and possibly join in. Keep it simple: $25 Gets your name in 2012 Rolling Stone Ad for 40 Years of Something/Anything? TODData.com. Don't forget to set your reply email to ANONYMOUS unless you want to get bombarded with questions. Just plant a seed and direct fans to the web site.
  5. MEMORABILIA TRADE FOR NAME LISTING
We aren't set up for specific gift items for higher contribution levels this time. Instead, random prizes will be awarded at different points of the campaign. In place of cash, I will consider memorabilia offered for raffle as compensation for a name listing. Circa 72 photos that you took, sheet music, bobbles from the many free handouts Todd gave during shows -- the possibilities are endless. The process will be to put up an item available as a prize for all contributions within a prescribed set of dates. Fans who already opted in can contribute again for a chance to win. I'll be putting up my Toddlehead as a prize. Contact me for details.
